Courtenay Gardens Primary School is a thriving school in the south eastern suburb of Cranbourne North. The school is a government Prep-Grade 6 co-educational setting.  School enrolment is approximately 700 students. Students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, with many having English as an additional language. The school values are Safety, Trust, Acceptance, Respect and Success. Our vision is to provide our students with opportunities that enable them to identify their passions, experience success and develop the confidence to pursue future learning. The teaching and learning program is well complemented by an extensive commitment to supporting students in their learning journey. This includes dedicated English as an Additional Language program. There is a strong emphasis on developing literacy skills, particularly in the early years through the implementation of a systematic synthetic phonics approach. We use the highly engaging and successful Little Learners Love Literacy program in Prep and year 1. Literacy and Numeracy intervention are provided for students requiring additional development of essential foundational skills.  

Specialist subjects offered are: Visual Art, Physical Education, Performing Arts, Music, and AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language).
