Role description
At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.
- Full-Time Ongoing and Temporary up to two years
- Location (Multiple locations across Metro & Regional NSW)
- Please note: This is a full-time role (5 days per week). You will be required to work a minimum 4 days per week at a designated education office location when not delivering face to face support in schools. 1 day per week may be worked remotely, subject to operational requirements.
- Salary range $102,936 - $113,579 p.a., plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (Clerk Grade 5/6).
About the role
Support children and young people to re-engage with education by working directly with students, families and schools to address barriers to attendance.
You will manage a caseload of students experiencing attendance challenges, building trust with students and their families, coordinating support, and working collaboratively with schools and partners to improve engagement and outcomes. You will operate with a level of autonomy while receiving guidance and support for more complex matters.
This is a dynamic, community-based role that involves working directly with students and families across a range of settings. You will travel between schools and local areas, adapting your approach to support the needs of each student and their family.
