Role description

St Catherine's Catholic College Singleton is seeking a temporary  Learning Support Teacher to join the team until the end of 2026.

St Catherine's Catholic College draws its students from the Singleton local Government Area.
Singleton is approximately 73 kilometres from Newcastle, close to attractions such as historical villages of Morpeth and Wollombi and a 30minute drive from the beautiful vineyard area of the Hunter Valley.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Learning Support Teacher (7-12) in a Catholic school has a unique role to play and is assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live a purposeful life.  Examples of responsibilities of the Learning Support Teacher include but are not limited to the following:
 

  • assist with the identification of students with special educational needs, consult and collaborate with parents, colleagues, CSO personnel and external providers, and facilitate referral and assessment procedur…
