About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking Expressions of Interest from dedicated Junior Residents to join our enthusiastic and supportive Boarding team on a casual basis. Our Junior Residents work closely with the team to create a safe and positive environment for our boarders. We're looking for dynamic individuals to supervise study sessions and outings, recreational activities, and encouraging our boarders to establish daily routines and personal care.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the boarding house through supervision, assisting resident staff, coordinating activities, and completing tasks as directed by leadership
  • Monitor student behaviour, study wellbeing, and dining routines, providing guidance when required
  • Actively participate in boarding events, build house spirit, and be present during critical times in the boarding calendar
  • Provide regular feedback on boarders, liaise with colleagues, and maintain a team-oriented approach to student care and operations
  • Maintain, safety, compliance and professional standards.

 

What You Bring

  • Experience supporting young people in educational or care setting
  • Ability to manage daily boarding routines while consistently following procedures, monitoring wellbeing, and escalating concerns
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build respectful relationships and provide clear, professional feedback on student wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement
