About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Careers Counsellor to join our Secondary Years team. You will play a key role in guiding students as they explore future study, training and career opportunities through a holistic and evidence-based career development program. 

Offering the flexibility of a two-day-per-week, term-time schedule, this role is ideal for an experienced education or careers professional looking to balance professional contribution with other commitments. You will build meaningful relationships with students and families, develop innovative career education programs, and connect learners with tertiary, industry and employment pathways that support their future success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate contemporary career education programs aligned to the Australian Blueprint for Career Development.
  • Provide individual and group careers counselling services that support informed pathway and post-school decision-making.
  • Guide students and families through tertiary, vocational training, scholarship and international application processes.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, industry, employers and external organisations to enhance student opportunities.
  • Lead the development and management of current career resources, information services and Careers Centre programs.
