Permanent Teaching role with the Position of Responsibility (Head of Day House) - Full-time position commencing in Term 1 2027
Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking to appoint a permanent Senior Teacher with the position of responsibility as a Head of Day House to commence in Term 1, 2027. The House system is an important foundation of Hale School, facilitating quality pastoral care for boys in Years 8 to 12. Heads of House are members of the School’s middle management team and play an important leadership role within the School community. We encourage applicants with Senior School experience from all subject areas.
The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Permanent Position - Senior School Teacher
Have excellent knowledge of the curriculum.
Be able to design, implement and assess engaging modules of work, suited to the needs of adolescent boys.
Utilise effective pedagogy to foster meaningful learning experiences.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and a supportive learning environment.
Foster high expectations so that each student wants to achieve their best.
Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning.
