Role description

Position Details 
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated HASS/History Teacher to join our College. This full-time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027, offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students, foster curiosity, critical thinking, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Reporting to the Head of Learning Area – HASS, you will be a dynamic and committed HASS/History Teacher. You will have the ability to teach year 11 and 12 ATAR History (Modern) courses and engage students across Years 7–10 with innovative, differentiated, and curriculum-aligned learning experiences. You will be willing to contribute to a collaborative team environment and demonstrate a passion for fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities as a Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher include:
•    Proven experience in delivering Year 11 and 12 ATAR – Modern History courses effectively.
•    Demonstrated ability to teach HASS/History across Years 7–12.
•    Proven ability to lead a Pastoral Care Group (PCG) with a focus on student wellbeing and engagement.
•    Flexibility and adaptability in implementing differentiated teaching strategies to meet student needs.
•    Commitment to innovative and evidence-based teaching methodologies, with a strong awareness of current pedagogical trends.
•    Willingness to collaborate in the design and development of teaching and learning programs across multiple year levels, and to lead subject-based teaching teams.
