Role description

Position details:
We are seeking a highly motivated Education Assistant to support students within our Inclusive Education team. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with students across a diverse range of learning needs, including students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), disabilities and those requiring additional support to achieve their personal best.

Reporting to the Flexi Path Coordinator, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with teachers, student services staff, families and the wider College community to support students’ academic, social, emotional and personal development.

This role is focused on fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued, capable and empowered to engage fully in College life. The Education Assistant will support students in the classroom, work with individuals and small groups, assist with the modification of resources and learning activities, and help students develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed both within and beyond the classroom.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a genuine commitment to student wellbeing, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families. They will bring flexibility, initiative and compassion, together with experience supporting students with a range of learning needs.
