ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL (EARLY YEARS)

Position Details
St Maria Goretti’s Catholic Primary School is seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Assistant Principal to lead our Early Childhood. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of child development, contemporary early years education, play-based learning environments and evidence-based teaching practices that support strong outcomes for young learners.

As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal will lead the Early Childhood team while also undertaking defined whole-school leadership responsibilities that contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing improvement of the school.

St Maria Goretti's Catholic School is a double stream school catering for students from Kindy to Year 6. The school also has a strong focus on Indigenous education which is demonstrated by the inclusion of the ‘Moort Waabiny’ Playgroup for students 0-4 years.

This position will suit a formally qualified, vibrant and enthusiastic individual who loves working in an interesting and engaging environment.

• Demonstrate high levels of competency across the domains of Catholic Identity, Community, Education and Stewardship
• Ensure effective administrative processes are in place, including timetabling, holding effective meetings, maintaining accurate records and disseminating information as appropriate
