Role description

HEAD GROUNDSPERSON

Position Details
Christ the King is a double stream Catholic Primary School with classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 and a wonderful, vibrant Additional Needs Learning Support Centre. The school is situated 6 kilometres from the Fremantle harbour and 1 minute from the heart of Fremantle. Our school is set in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and family homes. The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. Together with a comprehensive academic curriculum, Christ the King places strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the ongoing position of Grounds Person to commence in 2027. The appointment is fulltime, working 48 weeks a year and is classified as Head Groundsperson (Classification Code 04047) in accordance with the EBA.

•Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
•A service mind-set.
•Demonstrated experience of working effectively within teams to achieve objectives.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently, to prioritise work, show flexibility, take initiative and meet deadlines.
•Extensive experience in maintaining and developing grounds, including mowing, planting and planning.
•Manage and liaise with major maintenance contractors and perform minor maintenance.
•Assist with the care and maintenance of buildings, furniture and equipment.
