Role description


This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time (0.7FTE) position commencing October 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency

As a Lead School Psychologist in South Metropolitan Education Region you will be part of a self-directed, collaborative team and directly accountable to the Director of Education. You will also be professionally accountable to the Chief Psychologist. Your practice will be guided and directed by Departmental policies and guidelines and the Psychology Board of Australia’s professional standards.

There are over 286 public schools located in the South Metropolitan Education Region, which encapsulates an area from the City of Fremantle, along the Swan River to the City of Belmont, extending to the eastern most point of the City of Armadale and south to the Shire of Waroona. It essentially covers the southern side of the Perth metropolitan area and is the largest education region by student enrolments.
