Join Our Team - Family Assistance Officer
Are you an experienced collections professional who leads with empathy and is passionate about making a difference?
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is seeking Family Assistance Officers to join ourSchool Fees Liaison Unit. We currently have two permanent full-time opportunities, as well as one part-time opportunity working two days per week.
This role is about more than managing payments. It is about supporting families through financial challenges while helping ensure every child can continue to access a Catholic education.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Debt Recoveries Officer, you will join a supportive team of and manage a designated portfolio of schools and families.
Your goal will be to help families meet their financial commitments through an approach that is respectful, fair and aligned with CSPD’s values.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working with families experiencing financial hardship to identify practical and compassionate solutions
Managing school fee collections, outstanding accounts and debt-related enquiries across a designated portfolio
Assessing individual circumstances and recommending appropriate payment arrangements and debt resolutions
Communicating clearly and respectfully with families, Principals and school finance staff
Maintaining accurate and confidential records of conversations, agreements and account activity
Balancing the needs of families with CSPD’s policies, financial responsibilities and service standards
