Position details
Mater Dei College has the opportunity for a full-time, ongoing Religious Education Teacher to become an integral part of the College’s Religious Education Team. We are seeking a vibrant, passionate, dedicated and confident individual who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential.
The Religious Education Teacher will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the Religious Education Learning Area that are inclusive of, but not limited to:
• Implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and challenge students of varying abilities to achieve specific learning outcomes.
• Fostering a stimulating, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment designed to support student growth.
• Delivering engaging Religious Education curriculum, guiding students through key concepts while developing their knowledge, critical thinking, reflection and understanding in areas such as Catholic faith, Scripture, Church teachings, morality, social justice and spirituality.
• Programming for classes within the Religious Education Learning Area and thoroughly planning for each lesson.
• Assessing the performance of students in accordance with College procedures and where required, maintaining contact with parents regarding the performance and wellbeing of students.
• Meeting the deadlines set by the Head of Learning Area and College Executive.
