PRIMARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Position Details
St Bernadette’s Primary School is seeking a suitably qualified, dynamic and professional Physical Education Teacher who is committed to the pursuit of educational excellence and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.  

St Bernadette's Primary School is a two stream school catering for boys and girls from Three Year Old Kindy to Year 6. The school boasts large, well maintained grounds and is situated under the Peppermint Trees in Port Kennedy. The school enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. We place strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.
 
Selection Criteria
Applications are invited from enthusiastic educators who:
• Are prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties
• Understand the Physical Education Curriculum and reporting requirements
• Have an ability to follow whole school processes to organise and run sport carnivals and sport events in collaboration with colleagues
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to contribute to a positive staff culture
• Use assessment, data tracking and intervention planning to inform teaching and learning
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment
• Understand and can differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for a variety of student needs

Qualifications Required
A relevant four year tertiary qualification
