Role description


We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

One element of the mainstream Education Assistant role at Hilton Primary School (PS) will be to deliver the school's special project, Reading Intervention Program. In Year PP - 2 this program is delivered on a daily basis and is focused on building phonic reading and spelling knowledge and developing reading fluency. In Year 3 & 4 this program is delivered 4 days a week using the MacqLit program.

Hilton PS was established in 1950 and still flourishing after more than 70 years in our vibrant community. Initially, our school was known as Hilton Park Primary School. Located five kilometres from central Fremantle, we treasure our beautiful natural and managed landscapes. We appreciate that our enhanced physical environment, provides authentic teaching and learning experiences for all of our students, Kindergarten to Year 6.

Hilton PS has a long and respectful association with Noongar culture.
