About Early Learning Victoria

Early Learning Victoria (ELV), as part of the Department of Education, is leading the roll-out of 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032, with 18 currently operating. Our centres offer long day care, three and four-year-old kindergarten and pre-prep in accessible, play-based environments connected to local communities. We are committed to creating enriching work environments, encouraging professional growth and maintaining the highest standards of child safety.

About the Role

Opened in 2026 and co-located with Hallam Primary School, Early Learning Victoria Laak (meaning sky) is a 102-place centre offering long day care and Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs.

Early Learning Victoria is approved to receive the Commonwealth¿s Worker Retention Grant, which funds a 15% wage increase above modern award rates for eligible employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice
  • Contribute to and assist in the planning and implementation of the educational program, aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations
  • Monitor children's progress and support their social, emotional and cognitive development
  • Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues, ensuring all children feel safe and valued
