School Specific Criteria ¿Chinese Mandarin / Media EFT 1.0

SC1. Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum with a capacity to design, implement and evaluate a Chinese Language (Mandarin) and Culture Program, in senior primary years, in line with the Victorian Languages Curriculum to meet the learning needs of students.

SC2. Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum with a capacity to design, implement and evaluate a Media Program in the middle and senior primary school years.

SC3. Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing High Impact Teaching Strategies [HITS], guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

SC4. Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.

SC5. A proven capacity and ability to working as member of a specialists¿ professional learning team within the school and wider community.

SC6. A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in professional practice and student learning.

Role

The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2.  The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.  The classroom teacher engages in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
