Role description

Location Profile

Dandenong Primary School is seeking an exceptional educational leader to lead improvement in teaching and learning while contributing to the effective day-to-day operation of our school, in one of Australia's most culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Working alongside the Principal Team and teachers, the successful applicant will lead high-quality teaching and learning across the school, with a particular focus on building teacher capability and ensuring consistent, evidence-informed practice. The role will require a strong understanding of the diverse and complex learning needs of our students, including students with disability, English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners and newly arrived students.

A key focus will be building teacher capability through coaching, modelling effective practice, analysing student learning data and leading collaborative professional learning. The successful applicant will be passionate about improving outcomes for every student and able to translate evidence and research into consistent classroom practice.

Alongside their instructional leadership responsibilities, the successful applicant will play a significant role in leading daily school operations, working closely with the Principal and leadership team to manage competing priorities, respond to emerging issues, coordinate staff and resources, make sound and timely decisions, and ensure the school operates safely and effectively.

Prospective applicants are warmly encouraged to contact Louise Williams for further information.
