Role description
MEDIA TEACHER
Position Details
We are seeking a dedicated and highly engaging Media Teacher to join our College. This is a full time, 12-month fixed term position, commencing Term 1, 2027 (covering a staff member on leave).
Reporting to the Head of Learning Area - The Arts, you will be a dynamic and creative Media Teacher who inspires students to think critically, create confidently and embrace the ever-evolving media landscape. You will empower students to explore new ideas, develop their creative voice and build the skills to engage with media in innovative and meaningful ways.
Key responsibilities as a Media Teacher include:
• The ability to teach lower school Media to students in years 7 – 10.
• The ability to teach Media – General to year 11 and 12 students would be advantageous.
• The ability to teach Digital Technologies and or another subject area would be advantageous.
• The ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG).
• The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
Selection Criteria
• A dedicated and creative Media Teacher.
• A sound understanding of WA curriculum, with the ability to assess and report on all programs.
• Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in Media.
• The willingness and adaptability to apply new technologies and innovations to enhance student learning.
