Role description

A permanent full time position commencing 14 September 2026 or by negotiation. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Science faculty.

The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

  • Has a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning.
  • Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.
  • Displays an ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within the relevant KLA.
