Role description
A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 12 October 2026 until 20 December 2027. The successful applicant will be required to teach Religious Education/English. The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Religious Education/English.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.
