Commencement Date: Monday 05 October 2026
Tenure: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary Range: $110,695 TO $136,747 per annum pending experience + Super + Allowances + Access to remote area benefits
This role is based in Mount Isa and supports our schools across the region. However, alternative travel arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Help shape positive learning, wellbeing and life outcomes for students by joining our dedicated school community as a Guidance Counsellor.
In this role, you’ll bring your professional expertise, leadership and compassionate support to foster the social, emotional and educational wellbeing of students. You’ll work collaboratively with staff, families and the wider community to design and deliver programs that build resilience, confidence and personal growth.
Eligibility
Whether you’re a teacher with postgraduate qualifications in guidance and counselling, or a psychologist eligible for registration with AHPRA, you’ll bring the professional expertise needed to support student wellbeing and growth. Your background will enable you to provide informed, evidence-based guidance that helps students feel safe, supported and understood.
