Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Design and Technology for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be experienced and passionate Design and Technology teachers with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They should display a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and will ideally have experience in developing and delivering the curriculum using a wide range of teaching models. Qualifications and experience in teaching any of the following subjects will be considered highly desirable: Design and Technology courses such as Metalwork, Woodwork, Food Specialisations and Engineering. The lower school engineering-focused curriculum will ensure clear progression into senior pathways and the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives.
