Mackay State High School is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Head of Department - Humanities commencing 27 January 2027 until 27 July 2027, unless otherwise determined. The successful applicant will lead curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning across Humanities from Years 7-12, including History, Geography, Business and Economics, and Civics and Citizenship in Years 7-10, together with a range of General and Applied Senior Humanities subjects. We are looking for a leader who will provide strong curriculum and instructional leadership, build staff capability and foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement.
