Education Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will work under teacher direction to support the implementation of specialised and planned education programs, with a focus on improving student engagement, learning, wellbeing and independence. You will use your skills, knowledge and experience to provide responsive support that enables students with diverse needs to successfully access and participate in their learning.

Suitable applicants will ideally have experience supporting students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental and learning needs, anxiety, trauma and social-emotional and behavioural regulation needs.
