Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated expertise in leading the development, implementation and evaluation of a whole-school wellbeing curriculum, including strong knowledge of School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) and Respectful Relationships. Demonstrated ability to build staff capability and promote consistent practice across F¿6 through professional learning, coaching, modelling and the development of practical resources and approaches that strengthen student wellbeing, behaviour and social-emotional learning.
SC2 Demonstrated knowledge and experience in identifying and responding to the mental health needs of primary-aged students, including an understanding of the Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to coordinate appropriate supports and develop practical classroom strategies, adjustments and interventions that strengthen student regulation, engagement, participation and access to learning.
SC3 Demonstrated exemplary ability to monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort or whole-school level and use this data to lead improvement initiatives. Demonstrated ability to support others in using data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
SC4 Demonstrated exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader school community focused on student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
