Role description

We are seeking an outstanding Religious Education teacher and aspiring faith and curriculum leader to join our Religious Education Department as Assistant Head of Religious Education, commencing Wednesday 27 January 2027.

This important middle leadership role supports the Head of Religious Education in leading curriculum development, teaching and learning, faith formation, staff development and student achievement across Years 7-12. The successful applicant will contribute to strengthening the Catholic identity and mission of the College through high-quality Religious Education, fostering a rich culture of faith, intellectual inquiry, service and learning grounded in the Catholic and Edmund Rice traditions. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Religious Education teacher seeking to further develop their leadership capabilities while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing department. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education and an ability to inspire students in their faith formation, religious literacy and understanding of contemporary social and moral issues.

This is a Permanent Full-Time teaching position with a three-year (1-point) promotional appointment as Assistant Head of Religious Education.
