Science Teacher - Junior High

About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our Junior High teaching team from September until the end of 2026. There is the potential for this role to then extend through Semester 1 2027. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Science curriculum and the College's teaching framework.
• Identify diverse learning needs and plan experiences that enable all students to achieve success.
• Assess and provide both positive and critical feedback that monitors progress and gives clear, actionable steps for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting to be able to provide students and parents with detail and informative written and oral reports.
• Support wellbeing and manage behaviour by building rapport, maintaining an orderly classroom, and following up concerns in line with policy.
• Contribute to the College community and professional practice through teamwork, cocurricular involvement, administration, supervision and ongoing development.

What You Bring

• A relevant Graduate Teaching qualification and current Queensland Teacher Registration.
