OUTDOOR EDUCATION TEACHER

Position Details
CBC Fremantle is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition for boys in Years 7-12. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1901, the College has served the local Fremantle community for over a century helping families to raise boys who continually strive for excellence and who exhibit Catholic Leadership in their quest to establish a more just and peaceful society.

The College seeks to assist in the spiritual, academic, cultural, physical and emotional development of boys while acknowledging the primary role of the family as educator. As such, the College encourages its students to rigorously pursue excellence in all dimensions of their lives and to become leaders within their community through the active expression of their faith.

The successful applicant will be expected to work cooperatively with all members of the teaching staff in the interests of the students. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic educator to teach Outdoor Education across Years 8–12. The ability to also teach Health and Physical Education and/or lower school Science would be highly desirable. The applicant will be directly responsible to the Head of Learning Area and the Deputy Principal of Teaching and Learning. The successful applicant is required to attend Outdoor Education camps which equates to approximately 20 nights in the field.

The successful applicant may be responsible for a Mentor Group at the start of each day. This duty has the pastoral and administrative responsibilities associated with being a significant adult to a group of boys. In carr…
