MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Position Details
Mater Dei College has the opportunity for a full-time, ongoing Mathematics Teacher to become an integral part of the College’s Mathematics Department, commencing 1 January 2027.
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and confident individual who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential.
The Maths Teacher will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the Mathematics Learning Area that are inclusive of, but not limited to:
• Implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and challenge students of varying abilities to achieve specific learning outcomes.
• Fostering a stimulating, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment designed to support student growth.
• Planning and programming for classes within the Mathematics Learning Area to promote learning and involvement.
• Assessing the performance of students in accordance with College procedures and where required, maintaining contact with parents regarding the performance and wellbeing of students.
• Meeting the deadlines set by the Head of Learning Area and College Executive.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism whilst supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the College.
You will:
• Have the ability to teach across all year levels (Years 7–12).
• Hold a tertiary qualification in Secondary Education, preferably with a specialisation in Mathematics.
• A comprehensive understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
