DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHER
Position Details
Mater Dei College has the opportunity for a full-time, ongoing Design and Technology Teacher to become an integral part of the College’s Design and Technology Department, commencing 1 January 2027.
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and confident individual who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential.
The Design and Technology Teacher will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the D&T Learning Area that are inclusive of, but not limited to:
• Implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and challenge students of varying abilities to achieve specific learning outcomes.
• Fostering a stimulating, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment designed to support student growth.
• Delivering engaging Design and Technology curriculum, guiding students through the design process while developing their creativity, problem-solving, practical, and critical thinking skills in areas such as design thinking, materials and technologies, production processes and innovation.
• Planning and programming for classes within the D&T Learning Area to promote learning and involvement.
• Assessing the performance of students in accordance with College procedures and where required, maintaining contact with parents regarding the performance and wellbeing of students.
• Meeting the deadlines set by the Head of Learning Area and College Executive.
