MIDDLE PRIMARY TEACHER
Position Details
St Mary’s School is a Catholic co-educational primary school founded in 1926 and staffed by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart until 1986. The school caters for approximately 140 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with an additional 20 students enrolled in our Pre Kindy (3 year old) program and has a close relationship with St Mary’s Parish. St Mary’s School continues to strive for the ideals of Blessed Mary MacKillop in its service to country children and families. Merredin is an eastern wheatbelt town located approximately 260 km from Perth on the Great Eastern Highway. The town has all the amenities that one would need, including a supermarket, cafes, banks, Doctor, Hospital and a number of specialty stores. Merredin is a vibrant town with a strong sporting culture with many sporting clubs to join.
Selection Criteria
• St Mary's are looking for a full time Primary School Teacher commencing the start of the school year for an ongoing position.
• A passion for teaching and a love for working with children.
• Good communication skills to effectively engage with student, parents and staff.
• Confident in developing engaging lessons for learners.
• A commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos of our school and promoting Catholic values.
• Sound IT skills to support our students in their learning.

Qualifications Required
Possess relevant qualifications in teaching and TRBWA Registration.
