Principal Level P1 - Mian School

Mian School is located in Dubbo, near the centre of town and can cater for up to 28 students in Years 5 to 9. Students access Mian School from primary and secondary schools in Dubbo and Narromine. Mian School has a high population of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Students are enrolled at Mian School through the placement panel process.

Every student at Mian School has a negotiated Individual Education Plan, Personalised Learning Pathway and Individual Behaviour Response Plan. Students are provided with individualised adjustments and differentiation to cater for their individual learning needs.

Mian School is committed to continually improving effective classroom practices with staff professional learning being the key to ensuring this. This learning ensures that both literacy and numeracy levels can be enhanced through improved assessment practices, data collection and improved data analysis.
