Role description

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about engaging students in mathematical thinking through reasoning, communication, problem-solving and reflection. The successful applicant will foster curiosity, build confidence and support students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. They will be committed to helping students of all abilities achieve their potential while inspiring a genuine appreciation for Mathematics.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

Job Description

You will be committed to excellence as a classroom teacher, demonstrate strong collaboration within a faculty setting and be confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management.

With strong content knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum, you will be dedicated to delivering engaging learning experiences that maximise student achievement and foster a love of learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence within the Mathematics Faculty.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
  • Qualified to teach Mathematics (Stage 4–6) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
