Role description

Springbank Secondary College is an innovative, student-centred school that empowers young people to achieve success through high-quality teaching and authentic learning opportunities. Our strong culture of belonging ensures students feel safe, valued, and supported to grow in confidence, resilience, and independence. As a close-knit community, we work in partnership with families and local organisations to enrich learning beyond the classroom through leadership, wellbeing, and community-based programs. With a wide range of SACE, vocational, and apprenticeship pathways on offer, Springbank celebrates the unique strengths and aspirations of our young people, preparing them to thrive in life beyond school.

This role will have a set load of a Stage 1 Workplace Practices class. For the remainder of the load the successful applicant will be allocated responsibility for short term backfill behind individuals who are being deployed for other school priorities. Backfill positions will occur in a number of settings including mainstream classes with high populations of students living with a disability and complex needs, supporting literacy and numeracy intervention programs and our intensive support space which caters for students working in 1:1 and 2:1 settings.
