Role description

Lincoln Gardens Primary School is a small R-6, category 1 site. Currently, there are 3 classes; R/1, 2/3/4 and 4/5/6. The majority of students are Indigenous. The leadership team comprises of a Principal, Wellbeing Leader and Aboriginal Education Leader. We prioritise evidence based pedagogical practices that engage and challenge students by implementing the SA Curriculum with the focus to increase the SEA achievement in Reading & Writing. MulitLit (InitiaLit, MiniLit and MacqLit) is delivered across all classrooms during the morning English session. The AEL supports site leaders and teachers to establish and model a culture of high expectations teaching and learning for all Aboriginal. Working with colleagues to track, monitor and interpret Aboriginal student achievement data to inform quality classroom teaching and learning. Creating opportunities for students and staff to develop an appreciation and understanding of the Australian Curriculum Cross-curriculum priority 'Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures' and the Aboriginal perspectives. Contributing to and engage with the local community, professional networks and associations to build productive links for improved learning outcomes.
