The Role

The Deputy Principal (DP) assumes a pivotal role, working closely with the Principal and the administrative team to shape the school's identity. Educational leadership is a key responsibility, involving the active development and promotion of the school's values and ethos. This includes the development and operationalisation of processes to support the delivery of the school’s strategic priorities. The DP champions a collaborative approach, encouraging not only staff but also volunteers and community members to actively share ownership of the school's vision and goals.

Highly developed interpersonal skills, the capacity to build technical and relational trust and an appetite to focus on doing the right work in the right way are important components of the DP role at Margaret River PS. This role requires fluency and knowledge of the connection between the curricu…
