Role description

Library Technician

An Opportunity

Luther College seeks to appoint a talented Library Technician to provide support to the Head of Library and Learning Commons. This role is Fixed Term until the end of 2027. The hours are full-time during the term weeks with the school holiday periods being non work time for this role.

The Library Technician works collaboratively within the library team to promote the vision and mission of Luther College and contributes to the educational goals of the Library and Learning Commons. The Library Technician is service oriented and assists all staff and students of the College to access resources, services, and learning opportunities that support the skills and attributes aligned with the Luther Learner Profile.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and environment in a role that provides scope for growth and professional development.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm.

A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills, you are aware of your impact on all community members and intuitively adjust your style to meet cultural and stakeholder needs. 

You will have a keen eye for the finer details, and a desire to learn through hands on experience in the role.
