The Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified candidate for the position of: 

Position:               ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL – Religious Identity and Mission (APRIM) (1.0FTE)

Subjects:              APRIM (Fixed term) 0.6 FTE with a 0.4 FTE Permanent Teaching Load 

Commencing:      January 2027

This is a senior leadership role requiring active involvement in a Sunday Catholic Eucharistic community, as well as a commitment to life-long and life-wide growth as a leader in the Catholic Church. This leader is called to demonstrate a commitment to witnessing and living out our Catholic beliefs, rituals and values with committed action.

Key responsibilities include:

In diocesan schools, the APRIM is responsible to the Principal for the leadership of the school as an authentic Catholic educational community. The APRIM is also accountable, through the Principal, to the school community, Catholic Education SA, and the local and wider Church community.

The APRIM oversees:

• Leadership in Faith and Catholic Identity
• Leadership in Learning and Religious Education
• Leadership in Community and Culture
• Leadership in Resource Operations

About You

The APRIM will:

• Be a Catholic who is an active member of a Catholic Sunday Eucharistic community;
• Be able to demonstrate exemplary commitment to the Catholic Church and its teaching;
• Be a skilled educator and committed learner;
• Be strongly committed to the development of the religious dimension of the Catholic school;
• Have excellent skills in the design and delivery of Religious Education curriculum;
