Role description
Emanuel School is a vibrant, co-educational Jewish Day School in Randwick, educating approximately 920 students from Pre-school to Year 12. Guided by its motto, Mind, Spirit, Being, Emanuel combines educational excellence with a nurturing environment that values individuality, curiosity, belonging and pride in Jewish heritage. Reporting to the Principal and serving on the School’s Strategic Advisory Team and Executive, the Head of High School will provide strategic, educational and operational leadership across Years 7–12. This influential appointment offers the opportunity to shape the direction of the High School as Emanuel implements its new strategic plan and associated three-year roadmaps.
Leading the High School Executive Team, the appointee will oversee teaching and learning, student wellbeing, leadership development and effective daily operations. A visible and accessible leader, they will build trusted relationships with students, staff and families, strengthen student voice and agency, and foster a culture of academic achievement, belonging, accountability and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong people leadership, sound judgement and the capacity to translate vision into action.
