Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
West Balcatta Primary School is a high-performing and inclusive school with a strong culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and shared responsibility for student success. Our priority is the implementation of effective teaching strategies in every classroom. We value collaboration and reflective practice and are seeking educators who are committed to continually improving their teaching.
Applicants should be familiar with the Teaching for Impact framework and have experience implementing its key components. Effective use of explicit teaching, informed by student data and delivered through the Gradual Release of Responsibility model, is essential. It is also highly desirable that applicants have knowledge of our whole-school approaches, including Talk for Writing, Talk for Reading, synthetic phonics (Kindergarten to Year 2) and the POLYA approach to mathematical problem solving.
We are committed to providing a culturally responsive, safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student is valued, included and empowered to achieve their potential. Our staff maintain high expectations for both behaviour and learning, ensuring every student is supported to reach their full potential. We also strive to provide a positive workplace that promotes staff wellbeing and professional growth.
