Role description

St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of approximately 2,000 boys from Years 5-12.

Our other campus, Camp Laurence, is located on five hectares on the western bank of Lake Moogerah in the beautiful Scenic Rim approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane. It is an Outdoor Educational extension to St Laurence's College in South Brisbane established in 1975. The College conducts a sequential outdoor educational program for St Laurence College students along with offering the venue and associated experiences to external schools.

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Director of Camp Laurence to commence as soon as possible (or in line with notice requirements).

The Director of Camp Laurence reports to the Dean of Business Operations & IT and works closely with the Dean of Engagement and Wellbeing, as well as the Facilities Manager at the College. The Director of Camp Laurence plans, directs and coordinates outdoor educational experiences, in consultation with the Leadership Team and is actively involved in delivering the Outdoor Education program. The role has the specific requirements to coordinate, document and evaluate the Camp Laurence Outdoor Education Program (CLOEP) as rigorous, content rich learning experiences in alignment with the College years 5-12 program with a strong focus on risk management and operational safety.
