Role description

The Opportunity

We are excited to invite an enthusiastic Maintenance and Grounds Officer to join our team. This is a full time contract position. The Maintenance and Grounds Officer will contribute to a range of routine tasks to ensure our school is to a high standard of presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing gardening duties including planting, sowing, weeding and preparing garden beds and rockeries including competent and safe use of hand-held power equipment such as blowers and lawn edgers
  • Maintaining gardens, sports grounds and/or facilities
  • Safely operating, maintaining, turf and ride on powered machinery
  • Applying trade skills in construction, maintenance and repair tasks safely using precision hand and power tools and equipment
  • Contribute to the School’s WHS practices and liaise with specialist licensed providers or contractors to facilitate more complex tasks and activities across the College
