Riverstone High School is a co-educational high school situated in the North-West of Sydney on Dharug Country and is one of four schools in the Nirimba Collegiate. The school currently enrolls 880 students experiencing substantial growth from residential development, with a diverse student population that includes 24% of students from a language background other than English and 9% who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Riverstone High School recently restored its comprehensive status by welcoming Year 11 in 2021 and Year 12 in 2022, fulfilling a long-standing community goal, and operates an Inclusive Education unit alongside mainstream teaching. Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
School Learning Support Officers provides support for students with identified diverse learning needs including disability in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction and supervision of a teacher to support the achievement of educational outcomes.
