Blackfriars is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our Early Learning Centre on a fixed-term contract commencing Mid-Term 3, 2026 and concluding at the end of Term 4, 2026.
Early Childhood Teacher – Part-Time
FTE: 0.4
Workdays: Mondays and Tuesdays
The successful candidate will be work collaboratively with the ELC Coordinator to develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning programs that support the needs of young children within a positive, supportive and well-managed learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Plan and implement a comprehensive learning program influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Respond to students’ varying intellectual, emotional and physical abilities in teaching practice.
- Identify individual learning needs and styles, and plan learning experiences that enable all children to achieve success.
- Establish positive and effective relationships with children, parents/caregivers, colleagues and the broader school community.
- Create and maintain an attractive, welcoming, safe, orderly and task-oriented learning environment.
- Manage children's behaviour effectively and consistently within relevant school and SACCS policy directions.
