Position Details
Matthew Gibney Catholic Primary School is a single stream, co-educational school with an active school community and supportive parent body. Education excellence is highly regarded, with the staff utilising data to inform their practices to provide a quality education that meets the students' needs. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and organised Teacher to join our team of dedicated staff members and be part of the school’s new middle leadership structure for 2026 in the role of Learner Diversity.
The Learner Diversity Teacher plays a vital role in supporting inclusive education across the school. This position is responsible for coordinating and running intervention program, supporting classroom teachers in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and managing the school’s Students with Disabilities (SWD) and Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) requirements. The role works closely with the Assistant Principal and contributes to the school’s commitment to nurturing the unique gifts of every learner.
Selection Criteria
We are seeking a suitably experienced, qualified, professional, committed, positive, "Christ centred, child focused" Catholic educator who has the necessary knowledge, skills, ability and desire, along with;
- Experience or training in delivering literacy intervention programs (MiniLit/MacqLit preferred).
- Strong understanding of inclusive education, IEP development, and NCCD processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
