Role description
This position requires a highly innovative, reflective and experienced Special Options teacher to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment in a large, complex secondary school.
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities in a Special Options class or disability unit.
- Demonstrate the ability to design and deliver highly differentiated, functional learning programs that promote independence, communication and participation.
- Have experience planning and facilitating authentic community-based learning opportunities that support students to generalise skills across a range of settings.
- Experience delivering Modified SACE programs would be highly regarded.
