Role description

Minlaton District School is seeking a passionate English and HASS teacher to join our R-12 team from the beginning of 2027.

Build a rewarding career while enjoying an exceptional coastal-country lifestyle. Minlaton is the service centre of southern Yorke Peninsula, surrounded by welcoming communities and spectacular coastline. Enjoy beaches, fishing, surfing, boating, sport, short commutes, affordable living and genuine work-life balance, within easy reach of Adelaide.

MDS is a connected R-12 school where students are known, supported and challenged. Our improvement journey focuses on evidence-informed teaching, improved achievement, learner agency, wellbeing and belonging, and authentic learning linked to community, culture, industry and future pathways.

This position will primarily involve teaching Years 6-12, with opportunities to explore R-12 flexibilities according to the successful applicant's strengths and the school's needs. The role offers opportunities to strengthen literacy, communication, critical thinking and inquiry through the stories, history, geography, culture and communities of Yorke Peninsula.

In addition to salary, this position attracts a country incentive allowance. Teachers moving for their first country appointment are generally eligible for relocation assistance. Housing support and rental concessions are available through the Country Housing Service, and a one-off payment applies to a first permanent country appointment.
