This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

The Role

As the Education Assistant – Lead, you would lead, mentor, coach and model evidence-based practices for Education Assistants across the school. As a valued leader, you will work closely with the Leadership Team to support the effective development and coordination of the Education Assistant workforce, providing advice and feedback where appropriate.

You will play an important role in the induction, training and ongoing professional development of Education Assistants. This would include providing coaching, guidance and practical support to Education Assistants and Special Needs Education Assistants to strengthen their practice and enhance support for students with diverse learning needs.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • leading, mentoring and coaching Education Assistants and modelling effective professional practice.
  • building the capacity of Education Assistants to provide high-quality, evidence-based support for the school’s significant cohort of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as students with other disabilities and diverse learning needs.
