Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.

 

Hale School is seeking applications from enthusiastic and well-qualified professionals for the position of a Design and Technology Teacher commencing in Term 1 2027. At Hale School the design thinking skills are embedded in all aspects of the curriculum which is divided into three broad contexts: Materials Technology, Engineering Studies and Applied Information Technology. Design and Technology is taught from Year 7 through to Year 12. In Years 7 to 9 it is a compulsory subject and a popular elective for Year 10. Engineering Studies, Materials Design and Technology and Applied Information Technology WACE Courses are offered to Year 11 and 12 students.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • potentially teach a range of Design and Technology classes from Years 7 – 12

  • have experience and a high degree of competency with CAD software

  • be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum.

  • have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.

  • have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican traditions.
