Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking applications from enthusiastic and well-qualified professionals for the position of a Design and Technology Teacher commencing in Term 1 2027. At Hale School the design thinking skills are embedded in all aspects of the curriculum which is divided into three broad contexts: Materials Technology, Engineering Studies and Applied Information Technology. Design and Technology is taught from Year 7 through to Year 12. In Years 7 to 9 it is a compulsory subject and a popular elective for Year 10. Engineering Studies, Materials Design and Technology and Applied Information Technology WACE Courses are offered to Year 11 and 12 students.
The successful applicant will:
potentially teach a range of Design and Technology classes from Years 7 – 12
have experience and a high degree of competency with CAD software
be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum.
have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.
have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican traditions.
hold appropriate academic and teaching qualifications.
